    directory file check existing file

    HI, all!

Well I’m in need of help again.

The workbook is given the file path in stages and creates path if it does not exist. We store our daily files as the main path, then year folder, month and year folder, and finally the file name as “MM” – “DD” – “YYYY” “Sign-In-Log.xlsm”
I have Workbook.Open code that I need some advice on. It runs and creates the file path properly but I need code to check for the file path. If it exists now I get the file warning and it asks if I want it replaced, If I answer yes it opens a new cleared log and if answer no it errors out and does not open the existing file. And if it already exists then I need the code to open the existing workbook without over writing the data. If it does not exist then I need it to open the new workbook with the correct name. I have attached a sample workbook.

    All help is greatly appreciated.
