NEW TO EXCEL: Working on a workorder to be poulated with spreadsheet downloaded from store

    Hi guys,

If this has already been asked, a nudge in the right direction would be wonderful. We have an online store that offers predecorated products that people can buy as a fundraiser for their schools. After the store ends, there is a spreadsheet that is created with all the products, sizes, quantities, etc. What I want to do is populate the workorder that I have made in excel (it has to look like this so the printers can use it, it's based off of an existing in house order they already use.)

I have attached the file for you guys to look at. The information at the top will have to be entered in manually, which is fine. The only area that I need populated is he section under the first grey heading. So I'll need to have the total quantity for each product, it's Style (SKU) the ITEM DESCRIPTION (PRODUCT), The color, and have the sizes added as a number in it's corresponding column. So if there are 2 Med, 3L, and 5XXL, then I need the total quantity to be 10, but have the number show in the column under the size.

I don't know if VBA is the way to go, but I have been given this task and am really lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've already had started pivot table but somehow gave up, while it seems quick way to go.
Only bigger deficiency is probably the fact, that total is on the right.
But having everything sorted and grouped you are just few copy&pastespecial(as_values) operations to have your form filled

I see what you have done there. I gave up on the pivot table because I have to make it fit in the sheet "WORK ORDER" and have it match all the formatting.

My biggest frustration is getting it to fill out like this automatically.

The pivot table would be great if it would put it in the right places. Does that make sense?

How about refering to pivot table? So: * input data, * refresh pivot table and * form is automatically filled with appropriate values.
See colored cells - yeloow first formula, then 2 orange (very similar) then green - I did for first 3 sizes 3 next are again similar
if you are fine with zeros in a table (could be swithed off either in workbook options or with custom formatting like: "0,0,,@") could be simpler - for instance F10:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

and final blue one (could be similar to green ones, but just to refresh my own knowlegde, I played here with not-so-frequently-used GETPIVOTDATA and proposed):
    Formula: copy to clipboard
