    PrintPreview

I use the statement ActiveWorkbook.PrintPreview in a Excel 2016 VBA Code. When running the Code the preview of the worksheet is popping up correctly, but the buttons Print, Close etc. are disabled so I can not start the printing. If I step through the Code statement by statement, the buttons are enabled. Is there a problem with focus? The problem is only related to Excel 2016, not to Excel 2010.What can I do to unlock the buttons?

    Re: PrintPreview

I have tested with 2016 and it works fine for me

Are you referring to these buttons?

    Please
    - post your macro in full
    - confirm that the buttons are available if you click on Print Preview (without VBA)

    thanks

    Re: PrintPreview

I have done some more testing with Excel 2016. The problem occures when previewing from an external workbook (another book than where the code is). I walk around the problem by copying the data from the external book to the book with the code, then previewing works. Excel 2010 can preview from an external workbook.

    Re: PrintPreview

Which version of Windows are you using?
(I use Windows10 and I cannot replicate your problem)

Another 2 ways to print preview the active sheet
Try them - but I do not expect either to fix your problem
Please Login or Register to view this content.
To close the print preview window (when X greyed out) try {ALT} F4

To print after closing print preview try {CTRL} P

    Re: PrintPreview

I use Windows 10. But with the walk around that I described in my last Post, my code works and I am happy. Thank you.
