Activecell.offset and Merged Cells

I use a Macro that will copy the contents of the activecell to the cell below it. The code is very simple and has worked for many years on all of my different templates.

My latest template requires rows to be merged and this is causing an issue. The macro works as expected, but when i use the left or right arrow key on my keyboard after running the macro, the wrong cell is selected.

If i have a value in cell A1 that i want to appear in cell A3. The macro will copy the value to A3 and select cell A3. I then use the right arrow key on my keyboard to select cell B3 but cell B1 is selected instead. See gif below.

Asking because I could not obtain the same result as you presented on GIF (even using merged cells, which I usually try to avoid - we all know merged cell in excel is pleasant looking evil :-P
