I am helping out a friend and have all of her files. She needs to collate them into one please. We got some code previously, but it was for Windows and I could not help her debug it since it won't run on a Mac. I am better at this stuff, so if I could have the code for a Mac, I could just run it for her. (Or code that works universally would be best - if possible).
Here are the details:
Folder = Monkey
File = focal.event_1, focal.event_2, focal.event_3, etc...
Collated File = Merge.xlsx
First row is the same for each file and needs to be retained at the top of the collated file.
# of rows with data vary within each file
She wants to add an extra column at the very end that has the file name of the original file, so that column AC would say either focal.event_1, focal.event_2, focal.event_3, etc...
All the files were generated from the same version of Excel and all are xlsb. Each file has the same number of columns, 27 (AB is the final column). The macros do not need to remain, there are no formulas, and each file has the same number of worksheets. BUT I do not think each of the worksheets is named the same. (Will this be a problem?)
I attached some sample files if that helps. Including one with a worksheet that has a different name.
