I haven't started on the macro for this yet but I want to get a general idea if this is possible and what the basic steps would be.
I have a spreadsheet and in column U, the description has this:
Period, Frequency, P, #, #, #, D, #, #, S, #, # (It is all in one cell with letters P, D, S and numbers separated by commas. Period is Q12018, frequency is Yearly, Quarterly, etc)
I want to use the text to delimited function and enter these starting from column BD.
I then want to insert and copy rows below based on P, D, S.
Finished product would ideally look like this:
Description A-BC, Period, Frequency, P, #, #
Description A-BC, Period, Frequency, D, #, #
Description A-BC, Period, Frequency, S, #, #
Not every row has P, D, S. It could be two or all three.
Is this difficult to do? What are the steps? I was thinking using text to delimited built in function first , then with the macro go through the row from the bottom and find the P, then insert row below, and copy and paste. And repeat.
