What worked in Mac V2011 (14.7.7) generates 1004/445 errors in Mac V2016 (16.9). I am using cell comments to track data changes at the cell level w/date stamp and user ID. As the comment 'builds' over time I have been using 'Autosize = True' to expand the comment box to accommodate the additional text. Further experimentation suggests setting other comment character attributes has changed as well generating 1004 or 445 errors. Users using windows versions are now reporting text flows outside of comment box (although not generating run time errors). I have tried several permutations of Shape, ShapeRange, TextFrame, TextFrame2, etc. to no avail although the Object Browser suggests cell comment text formatting is still supported in V2016. What am I missing here? Sample code that errors in v2016 follows. Included attachment demonstrates different formatting between versions. Also, repeated drilling down while viewing object attributes in the 'locals' window is a sure way to cause Excel 2016 to crash.
