    Inserting Columns Affecting Formulas

I am running a macro that will load external data from a text file. I do a lookup by concatenating values in the data set and inserting a column in the external connection sheet. Unfortunately, when I run my macro that does this, all of the preset formulas are being adjusted to move with the new column. Is there a way to keep the formulas on fixed cells.

Please note I clear the data sheet by using the following code at the beggining of the macro:

Hi rjj920- What formulas? Your data is in a CSV. file, right? Can we see the macro that inserts the column? And maybe a sample workbook demonstrating said formulas and data.

PS perhaps one easy fix is to use an empty column to the right of the formulas instead of inserting one so you don't move them.

    Hi Leel,

I took your suggestion of just adding the lookup to the end of the data set...easy fix and saved me a world of trouble. Thanks!
