Question Simple macro/VBA to copy cell above active cell and then move active cell one right...

    Hello everyone,

Please help - we use financial/risk models that require a number of variables to be entered - each variable relates to a resource - quite often the variables are similar for various resources so we need a macro to copy the value in the cell above and then move the active cell one cell to the right when the process may be repeated again.

Variable 1 Variable 2 Variable 3 Variable 4 Variable 5 ...and so on
    Resource 1: 100 120 130 140
    Resource 2: 100 120 130 140
Resource 3: ? ? ? ? We need to be able to copy the cell above and then move one cell right please. Sometimes we have +100 rows with 21 columns to update.....would be heaven if we could copy and move
using a Macro. We've tried crtl D - very frustrating as does not move active cell one to the right so we have to use the mouse....

We need to do the entering ONE CELL AT A TIME - i.e. each variable is considered individually and then entered - we do not need a blanket macro that copies all values - need it one at a time please.

    Hope this is clear

    Thanks very much

Thanks - doesn't work at all - there is conditional formatting on the cells being copied which may be causing issues - I don't know

The CTRL + D function works as it copies the cell above - the only thing is doesn't do is move to the next cell on the right which makes it frustrating to use as we have to jump between keyboard and mouse...
