VBA code to retrieve value from combbox based on cell value

I would like to have a VBA code to retrieve value from comb box based on cell value.
Example: I have spreadsheet where on Column "E" contain date and on column "G" contain a comb box. when it's today's date it should retrieve "ongoing" on column "G".

your help will be much appreciated.
