Excel data to update VISIO object color

Hello everybody,

I did not find any answer to my problem so far. So I hope you can help me to solve it.

• Topic

Update the color of Visio shapes regarding their value. The values are in an Excel sheet linked to visio. => I succeded in doing that.

• Missing Functionality

Changing a parameter in Excel change the values of the excel sheet. When the change is done, the color of the shapes have to change regarding the new linked value.
=> I succeded in doing that MANUALLY updtaing in both applications Excel and Visio.
I would like to get an automatic update when the parameter is changed.

In this example, I would like to automatically update the visio shape when parameter is modified (or clicking on a button). the update functionality is what is missing.

Another approach could be import the excel sheet in Visio file...

I succeded in data automatic updating with VBA. In fact only one thing is missing; I try to find a way to communicate a simple parameter from Visio to Excel or from Excel to Visio...

Any idea ?
