beginner to VBA, self-learner. Not a completely newbie but definitely a novice.
I'm shouting for help to get an idea (or rather possible solution).
I have a file that needs to be updated on daily basis. Every day new column is added and new data needs to be injected (let's say 30 different numbers).
Most of these numbers come from different files (that I also receive on daily basis) - approximately 20 files).
Usually the process is simple... just take one number out of one file (or count few lines within the file) and input it into the master file.
Usually the process of opening finding the numbers etc (doing everything manually) takes about 30-45 minutes. As a lazy-*** & efficiency-chaser I of course want to automatize it.
I had an idea of saving these files out, and putting it all to one macro- which would copy and paste everything.
Is there a better/simplier way?
(some issues I could think of when it comes to my idea, overloading, opening tons of files, messy).
