Smile Question...is it possible to enter in the next in a series of data using a macro?

Hello! Thank you for looking at my probably confusing Title.

I've created a macro that filters 4 separate columns for individual data, so for the sake of this say Columns A-D. A=Movie genre , B=Movie Length, C=Movie Year, D=Movie Rating.

What I'm wanting to do is in the cells of column E, put an identifier for each different filter combination that I need but have it come off a series or list so if one combination doesn't exist it skips it and goes to the next. So using the example, the list for Column E would be; Try First, Try Second, Try Third, etc.

    Is this possible?

The macro I have I can enter data into Column E, but it might skip around; Try First, Try Third, Try Fifth, etc.

    Thank you for any help.

    Hi,

It not clear (at least to me) what you are getting at. If you upload a workbook and manually add some examples of the results you expect after a macro has run, explaining how you arrived at the results maybe we can help further.

Re: Question...is it possible to enter in the next in a series of data using a macro?

    Hi Richard,

Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm unable to find how I'm able to upload a workbook here.

    Capture.JPG

    There's an image of it.

So the first filter would be "Horror" in column A and "1998" For year. The ones that would be filtered would get "Try 1st, Try 2nd" in Column E.
Then the next filter would be "Comedy" in column A and "R" in Column D. The ones that would be filtered would get "Try 3rd, Try 4th" in Column E.
And more filters until column E gets to "Try 7th"

So I guess I'm wondering if I could make a list of inputs somewhere for Column E that can be referenced later like a LookUp.

I know this is confusing and I apologize for that. Thanks for trying.
