How to discover cause of this error?

This VBA macro (developed after much help here) was working sweetly over many repetitions. I ran it again today for first time in a few weeks and it failed. First message was "Code execution has been interrrupted" and on clicking Debug I get this second message, with the apparent problem line highlighted.

As a VBA novice I'm stumped, as I can't see anything wrong with that code. Are there any most likely causes I should focus on please?

What for is this command 'Windows("TEMP-VariableList.txt").Activate' ?
After opening this workbook ("TEMP-VariableList.txt"), it is an active workbook, and "Activate" is unnecessary.

Thanks but if that command is removed the problem remains. (Not surprising, as it has been working with that previously, as mentioned.)

Now the error is at the next command, Application.Left = 782.75
