Displying a cell on a different sheet based on specific critera

I am new here so excuse me if the terminology I employ lacks precision.

I am looking for a formula that will allow me to display the contents of a cell from a different sheet based on a set of criteria. For example, I am looking to display the contents of Sheet1!M91 in a specific cell in Sheet2. I can easily do this by entering an = sign and then clicking on the cell I want to display on Sheet1. But there are 100000 rows on Sheet1 and it would take forever to do them one at a time. So I am trying to figure out a way to use the value found in cell A3 (ID#) on Sheet 2, as the criteria for which row it displays the data from.


So am looking tp Display contents of cell on sheet1 when the contents of the M column in sheet 1 when the contents of Column C on Sheet 1 = the contents of A1 on Sheet 2

I think this could be resolved without using VBA as it seems to be a simple vlookup formula

From the sounds of it, you have a criteria in a cell in sheet1, and you want to search for that, in a specific column in sheet2?

If that's the case, look at something like VLOOKUP

If thats not the case, I suggest that you upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
