Angry #NAME error when changing values

Hello, this is my first time here

I downloaded user defined functions. I check them in the add ins tab. I enter values into its function and it works fine. I save it and close it. I then have a program which changes the data that is put into the functions. I then open excel and #NAME errors are there. If I go check or uncheck the add in, the #NAME error goes away. If I go to the data tab in excel, hit edit links, then hit open source, the #NAME error goes away. If I do not hit open source, the "User Defined" choice is not under select a category under insert a function. Any solution so I don't have to do that every time?

Re: #NAME error when changing values

Did you save the file as an .xlsm (macro-enabled) file?

Did you enable macros to run when you opened the file?

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

It is a .xlsm and I have enabled all macros under trust settings if that is what you are referring to. Thanks!
