Unable to search for content in hidden protected sheet

I have attached a file which I received help with previously, however I want to take it further.

So the file contains friends and enemy clans of a game I play. The file is to enable players to search for friendly and enemy clans.

That was working fine, but then I protected and hid the clan sheet (called clans) to prevent others editing it. I then got a 400 error. I did a bit of googling and stepped through the code and it appears to be related to the protection. I have tried adding code to over come it, but have got myself a bit confused and unable to get it to work.

Would some kind person help me out please?

Note there are two subs one for friend one for enemy. If you look at the clans sheet you will see green and red and what you can use to search to check.
