    Edit Cell (column B) according to user's selected value on column A

    Hi. I am making a membership loans and contributions system and I have 13 sheets. Jan-December and a summary sheet.
    I would like the user to select a member name in dropdown#1, select month from dropdown#2, and input desired amount on textbox#1

    So what happens is, If I select member#1, month of July, and enter $1000, the system will automatically encode that on the corresponding 'July' sheet. I don't have any idea how to use the cell search query on excel.
    Also, I would like the amount to be added e.g. if member#1 has existing $1000 contribution, it will be =1000+1000

    Hi,
    I suggest you take a look at the Excel Functions and Formulas (http://www.excelfunctions.net/)
    You must try and envision the actual steps you follow when you would do it by hand and then have Excel 'translate' it to a formula.
    If you visit that site there is quite a lot of information and methods shown how you can start.
    If are still stuck then I suggest you attach a file with some dummy data but with the lay-out you have, that will make it easier to explain and show.

    The advantage of looking it up and figuring it out yourself is that then you will remember it easier and not remain dependent on others
