Tool to find best fitting box (packaging requirements)

Hi all,

I need some help.

I have a list of product dimension (length, width and height) and I need to find the most suitable box for them to fit in; the box should be as small as possible but it can not be smaller than the products dimensions. Sometimes there will be exact matches but most of the time there won't be; I've been racking my brain but the only solution I've come up with finds only exact matches.

If there isn't an exact match then it needs to say so with a specific comment:

Variance	Comment
<30	Below 30 variance
<45	Below 45 variance
<60	Below 60 variance

Attached is an example spreadsheet, the real data has hundreds of box sizes and thousands of products.

I'm sure there's a way of doing this in VBA but I can't think of how to do it, so any help is greatly appreciated.
