Smile If "A" then [Percentage] ?

    Hello,

I am new to VB but I thought there may be a way to do this.

    I have 2 sheets in 1 workbook:
The first is an order quote, the second is a customer list.
I use the customer list to look up the name and copy and paste it into the quote. Next to the customer list in a separate column is a rating (A,B,C) that determines the discount the customer receives (10, 20, 30 percent).

I am wondering if there is a code I can write that understands depending on which customer name is put into the order quote that the discount can be automatically applied into the quote. It would also be neat if I did not have to find them on the customer list, and that it would know as I am typing what customer I am trying to enter, but that is less important.

    Any help is appreciated

Hi and welcome to the forum

Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.

It's not clear why you want/need to do this with VBA when on the face of it normal Excel functions should give you what you want.
