VBA: Master document to view current & future documents

Hi each week I create a rota and save it as “11-08-2018” format with the corosponding Monday of that week. I want to create a master document that can link to each of the weekly rota so that a years worth can be viewed in one go. What is the best way of creating the master document so that it looks for the weekly rota’s available and will display future rota’s once they’ve been created.

    Cheers

    Dave

Explain exactly what you mean by 'link to'. How are you expecting to view all the rotas in one go? Is this one table, multi0le worksheets in one workbook, a master workbook with clickable links - what?

Re: Master document for future documents

Hi thanks, in the weekly rota document there will be 2 work sheets (with a Rota table in each) (Sheet1 and sheet6) that need to be linked to the master document. Linked in a way that if I change the values on either of the weekly sheets they will be changed on master document. On the master document I will have 2 sheets and want to be able to view each of the rota’s tables underneath each other. They would just viewable and don’t need to have clickable links.

    Hope that makes sence

OK, so I think you are going to need VBA for this, unless your version of Excel is more recent than the 2007 in your profile.

OK, well same answer, then. There is a way with formulae, but it would be unnecessarily complex if you are able to use VBA instead. Are you able to use VBA at work, and if so, shall I move your thread?

Cheers, VBA sounds good and I’m able to use them at work so if you could move the thread that would be great.

OK - thread moved, and I've tweaked your title slightly. Good luck!
