Having problem with userform checking for blank fields with comboboxes

Hi there,
I would love someone to point me in the right direction please I have a user form with some combobox and text fields that users are required to choose a value from. When the form loads they are blank. I wrote some code (below is just one bit and it was replicated through each of the fields ;

Ok - if a user skips a field and then hits the button to save the code is written to check each field and I don't get an error.
But - if the user chooses an entry from the drop down and then deletes it, I get an invalid property error

The same applies for a textbox field too;

Im not sure if I have explained it enough to understand the problem or not. I'm still new at writing VBA so any points in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
