Suggestions for mapping distance to a State border

I'm in need of some ideas on having one address and finding out how far that address is to the nearest border.
For instance: a place of business in KY is how far to the WV border? (My max is 30 miles).

Any ideas on how to do this efficiently through Excel 2010?

My sincere apologies for not getting back to you. Your link was helpful but very intensive for our project.
I found a free IFTA site that calculated miles within a state to a location. (Truckers use for Gas tax usage purposes per state)

Thanks again for taking the time to make your suggestion. It started us down a path to find a resolution.
