Avoid recounting duplicate sequence

Good day,

I just need to avoid recounting duplicate sequence number.
like if i receive sequence# from 11 to 15 (total:5) then the next one are 15 to 20 (total:6),
since seq#15 previously received, it should not recount again from total count received
total count received should be 10 & not 11 (seq.#11 to 15 = 5) + (seq#15 to 20 = 6)
