    Picture Macro request

Was needing help with a sheet involving important pictures and resizing them. I'm very novice on the subject of excel programming but try to learn off the help I receive here so each time I come out with a better understanding than what I did.

I do not even have a sheet made but the explanation is very simple. I would like to have a button I will name "Import Pictures". When this button is clicked I would like for it to Import ALL the pictures from a folder on the desktop named 1st Run and then resize all of those pictures to a height of 1.45" and a width 1.93".

How difficult of a task is this for a button?

Thank you very much for any help or time you can give.

    -Create your workbook
-design the layout to your preference
-do a search on how to insert pictures into excel.

The macro recorder is a great learning tool.

When you run into problems, ask away.

By using the macro recorder I could get it to do one picture out of a folder. Getting it to select all, I could not. If that part happens then I could see if it resizes them all while they are all selected still from the insert function.

Attaching a sample workbook enables others to work on your problem:

To attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Re: Picture Macro request

I uploaded a sample but the entire sheet is just 25 blocks to place pictures in. They take about 25 pictures and they insert all the pictures from their folder on the desktop into the excel sheet and resize them to fit the squares and drag and drop. In the beginning they were doing them one by one and grabbing from the corners to resize in a trial and error fashion. I have shown them how to select all the files in a folder and insert them at once and while highlighted, right click and resize from there to 1.45" by 1.93". What I was wondering, is there a code that when a button is clicked or even a command macro, that will insert all the pictures from a folder and resize them?

Normally I include a sheet example but in this instance the sheet is as simple as my sample just more boxes.

    Re: Picture Macro request

Thank you davesexcel for helping. I'm going to try a work around and see if I can change the method we do this and see from there what simplifications I need with VBA or macros. My overall process may need tweaking.
