Question Newbie Needs Help with VBA/Macro

Hello all. I'm using Excel 2010. Though I'm not new to office by any means I've never found myself needing to write vba/ a macro. I am responsible to two reports a tax exempt report that's auto generated by our system on a day to day basis and a tax recon report that manually take the info I need from the tax exempt report and type into the recon report. Normally it's only a couple of pages and takes just a few moments but my company has a group coming up that will have hundreds of people for multiple days that are all tax exempt and the report will be in the 50 or so page range. Manually transferring the data over would I'm guessing take days. I was hoping I could get some help to make a macro or write some vba code that would run in the tax exempt report and out a new xlsx sheet with just the data I need so that I can simply cut and paste in into the tax recon report (it's locked so I can't edit any fields other than the data I'm supposed to enter and macros / vba has been locked as well) and example of what my tax exempt report looks like is this:
    exempt.jpg

My tax recon report looks like this:
    recon.jpg

I only need from the exempt report Column A the date (minus the header), Column D the name, and here is a tricky part. If Column F says Occupancy Tax then Column I goes into one spot and if Column F say Room Sales Tax Exempt Column I goes into a different spot on the recon report.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

    Hello KrumFox,

    Welcome to the Forum!

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
