    Re-format a report using Macro

    Hello experts,

    I need your help please. I need to update "old data" byconsolidating it with a "new data" . Macro shoudld be able to do as follows:

    1. From "Old data" worksheet, cut and paste all items marked as "Resolved" and "Shipment Not Materialized"[Column G] in "Resolved" worksheet.
    2. In "New data" worksheet, insert following columns:
    Concatenate >> Date Today >> Responsible Country >> Task Title >> Booking Number >> Task Owner >> Agent View Status >> Categories >> Who / What >> Stoppages >> Comments
    4. Insert formula in column A and B, where
    A = CONCATENATE(C3,D3,E3)
    B = Date Today
    3. Copy "new data" at the bottome of "old data". Remove duplicates in column A.
    4. Sort table.

    I was already able to record a macro for point 2. But I do not know how to do #1, 2 and 3. Can somebody help me please??

    Hi Melody10,
    Please read again your post and try to come with the missing details in order for us to be able to help you... Just as it is now is a bit confusing..
    You move some data from 'old' to 'resolved'
    In 'New' you insert some columns... (from where? or just empty columns?)
    After, you want to copy the contents of the 'new' to 'old' ??
    .. and don't forget to have fun!
    Bogdan.

    hello jindon..

    thank you for the help...

    one thing.. your macro transfers the old data into the new data.. can we do it the other way around please?

    The date in "new data" worksheet should be padded at the bottom of old data
