I need to deselect 2 items from a filter

Hi Guys

I have a sheet that I use to download data and make it a bit more user friendly. The downloaded data has categories and they are different each time. I would like to deselect CAT 01 & CAT 02 when I import the data. I have searched for some code but haven't found anything that works yet. any help greatly appreciated

Another approach.
Produces second sheet with CAT 01 & CAT 02 removed.
As sheet 1 is updated sheet 2 can be overwritten by TRANSFER.

Hi PCI. Thanks for this but when I tried it it deselected everything in the list. I have tried various code with the criteria <>CAT 01 & <>02 & it always deselects everything

You asked to deselect the two items, then complain because the code deselects the two items.

Hi davesexcel. In the filter I currently select (i.e. tick) all the boxes for the filter. Then I un-tick CAT 01 & 02. I don't want to remove them as I sometimes need to check them later
