Button to transfer data from one sheet to another, new row each time

    Hello,

First of all I would like to introduce you to my problem. I'm doing a project that at some point I need to transfer information from sheet A to sheet B by clicking a button... That in itself would be easy enough, but everytime the new information comes in and the button is pressed the new information from sheet A have to be passed to sheet B, but in the next row. This makes it a lot harder and I have no idea how to do it... if anyone know how to do this with macros or perhaps another way I would appreciate your help.

    Thanks.

Re: IT project (macros new rows each time)

It would be easier to help if we had some data to work with. Can you attach a copy of your fil?
You can say "THANK YOU" for help received by clicking the Star symbol at the bottom left of the helper's post.
Practice makes perfect. I'm very far from perfect so I'm still practising.

Re: IT project (macros new rows each time)

Thanks for the reply i dont have the copy of the original file but i made something similar.. in short when you put in the data and click the button as shown on the first screen shot the data will get transfered to the table like the one shown in the second screen shot

(i wasnt able to post the link full so i had to seperate it with spaces hope its ok)

So everytime a customer puts the details in, their information get stored in a separate row. This is what i meant in the question because if i just did a macro copy paste than it would delete other customer details in the table so it has to go down 1 row.

    In advance thanks for help

Are the columns in SheetA exactly the same as the columns on SheetB?

Re: IT project (macros new rows each time)

That's very important. Do you enter the data starting in column B and then the next time in column C and then column D, etc. copying one column over at a time?

Re: Button to transfer data from one sheet to another, new row each time

I have updated your title for you since you are new.

This is not a hard problem. Although your images illustrate the question pretty well, the best way to get help is to attach that Excel file here. That way I (or someone else) can put the code right into your file. Otherwise we would have to re-create your file from scratch.

Even though a new member cannot post a URL link, you can attach a file.

The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. To attach a file, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

    Hi there,

    Welcome to the Forum.

I think that the attached workbook will do what you need. It uses a UserForm (rather than a Worksheet) for entering data, and all data entered are stored on the "Customer Details" worksheet.

Hope this helps - please let me know how you get on.

    Regards,

    Greg M
