Question Extract data from website Macro

Hello and thank you for reading this message.

In Excel, I've set up various Macros. But extracting data from a website is new to me, though I've found where several methods in Excel are. Can you help? I'd like to set up a macro that extracts the same section of data from different pages of a specific website and copy the data into excel.

Here is an example of one page from the website :

    tax.service.gov.uk/business-rates-find/summary/16751684000?uarn=267529075

All the pages on the website have the same format. So I'd like to create a macro that works with whichever page is displayed and then copies to a new excel page the data below the heading "Parts of the Property" until and including the last full line of data ie up to and excluding the column totals.

Any ideas will be of help.

Thank you again for reading this message.

Re: Extract data from website Macro

    Hello pdig,

Would really like to help you with this. It seems for the past two days the URL has returned a timeout error. Not sure what the cause might be as I have checked it using Internet Explorer, Google, and Mozilla with both HTTP:// and HTTPS:// added to the DNS. Can you connect to the site?
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Re: Extract data from website Macro

Hello and thank you for your reply.

The link works ok from here. To get to the same page:
    1) Go to tax.service.gov.uk/business-rates-find/search
    It's h t t p s : / / w w w .
    2) Into the query box enter SE1 1AA
    3) From the results choose Tenants Hall (which is an example of the format of all pages)

I'd like to be able to have a page like this displayed, then run a macro to extract the specific data to an excel workbook.

Thank you again for your reply.
