    Advanced Filter Extract Range Error

    Hi All,
I have been through this code over and over and cannot find the cause of the error "Extract range has a missing or illegal field name". I've used advanced search and filter in the past with similar issues, seems like a finicky process.

On the Add/Edit form the combo box is used to select a header to search from, with a value entered in the search for text box and clicking "Get Record" it should populate the listbox with the filtered results. The code is not written yet, but I can then select one of the entries in the listbox to edit.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

Re: Advanced Filter Extract Range Error

    Hi Rob,

    Some possibilities....
When you do an advanced filter it selects the range of cells that look like a table. If you have stuff in A1 (Stock Tracker Report) it thinks that is part of the table. You want the top of the table to be row 2. Delete the text in A1 and try it again.

I'd guess you had different spellings of your top row, like an extra space in one of the words, but you are ok there...

Have you ever seen PUP 7.2 Advanced Data Form tool? I think it would do exactly what you want and you don't need to code for it to work.

Re: Advanced Filter Extract Range Error

    MarvinP,
Just wanted to give you proper credit. I deleted the data in cell A1 as you recommended with no results. The additional issue was in cell D1 that controls an auto ID number for the data list. Excel was seeing this value and considering it as part of the range as well. Once I moved this reference all was well.

You were certainly on the right track!

    Thank you
