Column B, row 2 holds the date 1/3/2019, although formatted as ddd dd-mm.
red_date is defined as a range
1) Try xlFormulas instead of xlValues
Set ref_date = ws_schedule.Columns(1).Find(tdate,,xlFormulas)
2) Try using Match method
Dim myRow
myRow = Application.Match(CLng(tdate), ws_schedule.Columns(1), 0)
If IsError(myRow) Then
MsgBox "Not found"
Else
MsgBox "Found in row " & myRow
End If
