Export data's from certain cells from excel to an existing word template

    Hi,

I'm quite new here on this forum, but also new in vba programming. As i have said in the subject, i would like to export from an excel workbook some data's from specific cells to some specific positions in a word template. I started since yesterday to investigate this, i found some hints but they are not enough. I'm looking mostly upon the code in vba as this is the only way. Could someone help me in this way?!?!
I'm having two template, one in excel where i'm doing some calculations and i'm having the second template in word where i have to fill some fields with data's from the calculations done previously in excel. Usually, i'm doing this manually, but i want to increase the speed by placing one buton and export all needed data's in the word template.
    Thanks.

If it's always the same set of Excel cells being exported to the same Word document/template, you don't need a macro. Simply copy the relevant Excel cell(s) then paste into your Word document/template using Paste Special with the 'paste link' option and your preferred paste format.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I'm having multiple projects where for each one, after calculations done in excel i would like to push that data's towards a new word template. So, we are talking about same templates(excel&word), only that we have different data's for different projects. Anyway, i'll try your suggestions, might will work somehow if i'm "saving as" the two templates.

Provided you use the same Excel workbook in each case and link it to a Word template in the way I suggested, all you'd need to do when creating the new document from the template is to use Ctrl-A, F9 to unlink the fields so they don't update with data for the next project. If you want, you can then also make a copy of the Excel workbook, saving it with a name applicable to the project concerned.
