enable temporaraily update of links

hi, i am trying to change the link source of a file with another file but my code below doesn't work, presumably because the file has a warning on top that says, "SECURITY WARNING Automatic update of links had been disabled."

What code would temporarily bypass that and let the change link code work? thx.

This is bordering on break our rule 7...
7. Do not inquire about breaking the security of a protected workbook.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Good morning charliec

From the workbook containing the links, go to Data > Edit Links and click on the Startup Prompt box.
This should give you three options as to how the workbook links are handled when the file is opened. You probably want the first or the third option.
