To clarify, I have migrated a Personal Workbook with macros from a previous job to my current position almost two years ago. As part of that migration, I discovered the Custom UI Editor as my toolbars from my pre-ribbon workbook needed to be replaced. I know my macros are in the workbook, but I am no longer convinced by Ribbon Customizations are in there as well. I can see them in the customize ribbon dialog box, but if I try opening my workbook in the UI Editor, there are no customizations displayed.
So my real question is, this: Is Office 365 saving my Ribbon customizations somewhere else and if so where. I wanted to import some custom icons using the UI Editor along with other tasks, but since I can't seem to even confirm where the custom ribbon items are, I am not sure what to do.
I even renamed my personal workbook to .zip and examined the content as a compressed folder and found no evidence of any custom UI entries that we described in some online pages. I work with a lot of XML files so I am very comfortable looking at them and following their contents, which is why I like the custom UI editor as it allows me to work with XML files directly and handles all the file and folder manipulation for me.
