How to move selected data from column 1 to a different row in column 2?

I have Excel 10.0 in Windows 10 Pro.

I have one column of text values in Excel. I want to split that column into 2 separate columns.

The values were a single copy-paste from a web page.

A1 contains a title. A2 contains a few lines of text corresponding to A1

A3 contains a title. A4 contains the text corresponding to A3. And so on.

So, the contents of A2 must be moved to B1

The contents of A4 must be moved to B3. And so on.

I would like all the resulting empty rows to be deleted.
