I thought this would be easy to find out and was surprised to learn its not.
I am looking for a summary (bullet point ideally) for the changes between each version of MS Excel. Specifically - I want to know what features and/or functions have been DROPPED from the new version.
Changes dropped includes workbook formulas (have they dropped =RANK() yet?) as well as VBA functions.

In all the years I have been programming, Microsoft has never offered a complete compendium of all the relevant changes between the new and old versions. It is usually a smattering of articles. As for changes to the VBA object model, you're lucky to find anything. VBA usually requires a lot of personal time comparing the new version to the old using the VBIDE Object Browser. But, if anyone knows where this might exist then please let us know!

I can't help you with the VBA part but this individual compiled a list of functions available going back to 2003.

That was dedicated work on somebodys part! Unfortunately for me it only lists worksheet functions and only for versions 2003/2007/2010. I'm interested in changes from 2010 upwards.Originally Posted by FlameRetired

Does tell you when Function came in/out, suppose if you really wanted to you can scrape the data from the site
Don't think I've seen anything similar for VBA
since it peaked by interest....
Functions introduced (some of the introduced were just plain replacements rather than just brand new functions)
6 in 2019
5 in 2016
50 in 2013
61 in 2010
12 in 2007
39 functions were replaced in 2010
only 1 was replaced in 2019 (concatenate was replaced with Concat)
