Skip files if already in the database

Hi all, I am trying to improve some vba which imports all the contents of a folder's files into an excel sheet.
The files are all mp3 audio types - part of the vba is to convert uppercase MP3 to lowercase mp3.

All the songs I have are on my main PC, this sits on my home network and are inside 1 folder.
I update the info for these mp3 files ie, Title / Artist / Year / Date / Genre.

The code I run, sits on my laptop, it basically turns Excel into a duke box where it acts like many other audio programs.

When I run the VBA from my laptop, it normally runs without error but today has started to shut Excel down.

I think its trying to import too much detail from too many files.

My question is - is there a way to skip files if files are already in the database?

Here is my code - there are 2 sub routines.

    1. Which of your two topics is accurate/appropriate/proper/relevant/right/adequate/due/owing/suitable, etc. ?
    2. What does the table (in which the data is entered) look like ?
    3. Attach a file with an example data appearance ... with only the data appearance, not the data itself (data can be 2-3 lines, it's enough).
