I am getting this macro error message when I use the arrows in the bottom to advance the months or for that matter even to go to a prior month. I tried to edit the macro but not able to see the actual recorded macro. Could someone please help?

It is a .xlsx file. There won't be any macros in it. Hence when you click on something that expects to use code, it gives you the error message to say the macro isn't present.

Thank you. It used to have a macro. Is there a way to record a macro or any workaround this so that I can use this workbook?

Record your macro and then use Save As. You will then be able to save your file as a .xlsm file, which will keep the macro. The next time you open the file, make sure to open the .xlsm version and you will be able to use the macro.
