Debug problems

Hi guys,

This is super urgent.
I'm trying to update the Macro values but somehow it wont work.
When I pressed debug, it led me to :
Cells(a, 12).NumberFormatLocal = "dd mmm, yyyy"
idate = Cells(a, 12)

May I know what does this mean? I am super new to Macro and my job was just pressing the update button whenever data is done inputting.
