Hi all - I've been having an intermittent problem that I've not been able to successfully troubleshoot on my own - hopefully you'll have some insight.
I have a workbook with 4 tabs, 2 dozen subs in 5 modules, connectivity to SQL, and 8 forms.
On the primary sheet, I have a series of buttons that kick off various macros or show various forms. I had originally used active x buttons, but those were resizing/moving and the font was changing on them, so I switched to the FORM buttons.
Now, periodically and unpredictably, when I open the workbook, I get an error saying that the file was damaged or corrupted. I allow Excel to recover what it can, and everything is fine - except that the buttons are gone, so I have to create new ones.
I've saved the file as a new file, run the Office repair process, and had Excel reinstalled. I haven't had this problem in any other workbooks, but am not actively working on any that are this involved at the moment.
Any ideas what's going wrong? Should I be using the Active X buttons and dealing with the resizing weirdness?
Thank you for any guidance
