The above sample data shows two sub-levels but it can be 10. I am looking for inspiration to do it by programming and I wonder if anybody did that before.

Re: Convert an exploded BOM to a flat -file BOM

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Please note that not everyone understands or is supposed to understand the jargon you use. Using terms like "BOM" might deter some members from helping as they do not know what it is about ( neither do I)

    Hello Saintor,

Pepe Le Mokko makes a very valid point. Not everybody knows that a "BOM" is also known as a "Bill Of Materials".
