VBA: formula to use data in last cell updated

    Hi,

I'm new in the forum. Hopefully I posted my question in the right location box.

I'm looking for a formula to get the last data entered
e.g. Row1 to Row 5 if I changed the data on Row 3 the return value will show the data of row 3.
I'm using formula: =INDEX((column),COUNTA(column)) ----the result value is only returning Row 5 data.

    Thank you for your help.

    Welcome to the forum.

In order to timestamp entries, you'll need VBA - is this what you mean? In other words, you want Excel to know which your most recent entry was?

    Hi Ali,

yes, you read my mind and appreciate your help.
I was hoping it will not be a VBA since I'm not really familiar with that.
Will that be the only work around?

I believe so -sorry. Let's get this moved to the VBA section and see what happens.
