    Orphan scripts

I have inherited a workbook with a number of scripts that I can't puzzle out where are used. There aren't any obvious buttons that use the scripts, although I might be missing them. Any easy way to find where a script is used?

    Re: Orphan scripts

I think you’re going to have to give us a few more clues. What are the scripts (subroutines/functions/macros) called? Are they in the Workbook module, sheet modules, standard modules, form modules or what?

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Here's an example found in module23:

AFAICS the code (recorded macro) just copies the same range twice. My problem is I can't find a button that it is linked to and there is no other code that calls it.

    Re: Orphan scripts

    Hi,

Code might call other code. You don't need a button to call a sub or function. Search your whole project for "Code23" to find where your code is being called from.

Looks like he might have been recording macros to carry out one or more tasks.

I often record a macro to get the basic code and then tweak it.
