Hi There,
I am trying to run a macro that will plot wind data in a time series. I want the chart series to be formatted such that each point is an arrow, pointing in the direction the wind is coming from. Along with the arrows position on the Y axis for wind speed, I want the arrows fill color to represent the wind speed. Excel forum won't let me attach photos, but there is a copy of what the chart should look like in the attached .xls file. I had it somewhat working, but I can't get it to work anymore.
I have used a previous thread as a starting point for this: excelforum.com/excel-charting-and-pivots/929410-multiple-wind-speed-and-direction-arrow-plots-on-an-xy-scatter.html
As a new VBA user, I am having trouble editing the code from the above link to make my macro work smoothly. My understanding is that for each point in the data series, the code alters the rotation (from numwindDir column) and color (conditional formatting of windSpeed column) of the arrow (shape) that is in the charts tab (scroll to left side of charts). It then copies the shape, and should paste it to the specific data point in the series. The issue seems to be arising somewhere in the copy/ paste of the shape. Here is the code:
I bolded the line of code that has the error.
Data is manually put into ChartData tab. I have highlighted the columns relating to the wind plot on the Charts tab. Any help would be super appreciated, even if its just comment on the syntax of the copy/paste code, maybe there's an obvious error that my untrained eye isn't picking out.
Thanks so much!
