Who came 1st to who .

Hello all ,

Not sure how complex a question im asking here but here goes .

In this sheet right down the bottom are the results I need .

Basically I would like to get all horses names who came first and put them into col BJ and onwards .

Examples .

Russian Express and Pocket Call both came 1st to Fred , cell AH92 .

Pocket Calls 2nd last start came 1st to Dina Bolt , cell AH2 . This result goes to cell BK198 .

If Pocket Call had a 3rd last start then result would go into cell BL198 .

Pretty straight forward , Its all about looking back for each horse .
If they came 1st themselves then there name would be result .

I have 30,000 rows so speed is most important but understand if possible a macro may take a few minutes .

How about a Pivot Table solution (see my newly-added "PivotTable" sheet in the revised doc).

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than myself can tell you how to data sort the Pivot Table values by ranking in each race...
