Trying to auto move rows to 2nd tab if column meets criteria!!
(Please see attachment for reference)
The attached image is an example of an excel sheet used to keep track of due dates.
In the attachment, column G shows the due date for the job specified in column A. I would like create a formula, use vba, or anything so that if the date specified in column G is one month or less from today's(the current) date, the entire row will then be copied and moved to a second tab. Even better, I'd love to add in something that will organize them so that the rows with the closest upcoming due date show at the top.
I've been using my knowledge, reading guides and watching YouTube videos trying to figure this out and have not made very much progress Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Re: Trying to auto move rows to 2nd tab if column meets criteria!!
There is a difference between "copying" and "moving" - the latter implies that the record is removed/deleted from the first sheet, whereas the former implies that a copy of the record appears on the second sheet but that the original record remains in the first sheet.
If you use a formula solution, then the record would be copied to the second sheet, and the original data would remain intact. Would this be suitable for you?
In your file, are the grey-coloured records the ones you would expect to appear on the second sheet?
Hope this helps.
