Inherited VBA Giving Error Messages - Not Sure Why

    Hi,

I have been given a spreadsheet at work that has been locked by its creator who has now left the business. I have recreated the spreadsheet but it involved VBA. Unfortunately i have no experience of this and was wondering if anyone would be willing to take a look and see if this is causing the issues of not populating my spreadsheet but instead giving me error codes. I attach both documents so you can compare.

    Thanks in advance.

    Tim.

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about.

Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. As you are new, I have done it for you this time.)

Just a bit of advance warning:
we will not help with anything that would require the circumvention of a password.

Thanks Ali. Being a novice at the language it was hard to know what to title it. Appreciate you changing it for me though.

A novice in English? Well, you managed to explain yourself in your post, so a descriptive title shouldn't have been too hard.

One of our VBA experts will take a look in due course.

In the unlocked sheet, you have a named range call "GetCutterPattern" which is the same as the Function you are calling in cells C8 etc.
Delete the named range & everything should be ok.

Re: Inherited VBA Giving Error Messages - Not Sure Why

thank you Fluff13. Unfortunately i have done this and i now have blank cells in UNLOCKED_2 unlike the completed table showing "D" and "N" in locked. If i scroll down to wards the bottom of the page it starts to ppulate but it does not match the LOCKED version. Can you assist any further?

    Cheers.

It won't match the locked version because the dates are different and therefore you will get a different pattern.
You have also changed the date within the function, which ill also cause a different pattern.
