Auto open a file on a set date each month

Is there a way to have Excel open a certain file on the same day of each month automatically?

If not, how would you set up a file (which is an invoice to a client) so it remembers that it needs to be opened?

The best method would be to use the Windows Scheduler program which is built-in to Windows. That way you can schedule to have Excel start and open the required file.

If you were to use Excel only, you would need to manually start an Excel file that contained a macro to check the current date. When the date in question arrived, that
first Excel file would open the second Excel file. Rather redundant ...

You can use VBA and with ONTIME function to do the job.

But, this is will only work if EXCEL is open.

This will run every 1st of the month
