How to capture data flow listening the COM Port

Hello Everybody,

I hope somebody can help me.

My Tester-device offers a *.CSV output through the COM Port (RS-232).
It work fine when using its own data transfer tool.

Laptop config: Win10 / Excel MS_Office_356 / RS-232-USB adapter

Since the output is already adjusted by an automated VBA-Macro,
I would simplify the process letting Excel even capture the Serial Data Flow.

Is this possible?


I'm not a VBA expert however I've found and tested several codes, as the one below.
The code runs fine but no-data get captured, my opinion is that VBA is not really able to reach/listen the COM port.

Any hint is welcome,
